itel Mobile launched its first handset last month, the itel A60, a new member of itel A series, positioned to be a 4G high-speed network smartphone, which allows consumers to enjoy a faster and smoother browsing experience.
The company says the itel A60 is a testament to its commitment to making a positive impact in the lives of people by empowering them through the power of technology. Adding that the smartphone is a powerful combination of technology, aspirational features, and aesthetics that is going to be a game changer for first-time smartphone customers.
itel Mobile aims to strengthen the existing smartphone portfolio by providing entry-level smartphone users with a vast selection, great value, and a wonderful experience with breakthrough features. The itel A60 we can say so far is itel Mobile’s best entry-level smartphone. The company keeps improving for a better user experience.
The itel A60 offers an immersive experience with its 6.6-Inch IPS LCD watch-notch display, which has a 720 x 1,612px screen resolution (20:9) which provides clear and vivid visuals. The screen runs at 60Hz and has a 120Hz touch sampling rate. The phone has a thick-solid plastic build with a gradient finish at the back. Around the phone, at the top you have a standard earphone jack, at the bottom is a microUSB charging port and a single speaker grill while at the back, there is an 8MP main camera — also on its island are a depth sensor and the fingerprint reader. The watch-notch houses the 5MP selfie camera.
Under the hood, the phone comes with a basic 28nm chipset with four Cortex-A53 cores, a Mali-G820 MP1 GPU, and 2GB of RAM coupled with 32GB storage that is expandable with a microSD card of up to 128GB. It runs on the Android 12 Go Edition operating system and guarantees fast and responsive functionality.
The itel A60 is powered by a non-removable large 5,000mAh battery, which according to the company promises up to 8 hours of web browsing or nearly as much of watching videos.
First Impressions
The itel A60 so far is the company’s best and somewhat well-thought smartphone that at first glance might not think of as an entry-level smartphone. Our first impressions:
- The sturdy, thick-solid build and the gradient finish at the back.
- The UI has been improved.
- The large 5,000mAh battery.
- For an entry-level smartphone, the Android 12 Go Edition OS is its best fit to guarantee fast and responsive functionality.
- Large display with thin bezels.
Pricing and availability
