Liquid Intelligent Technologies Uganda Appoints Michael Mukasa as its New CEO

Liquid Intelligent Technologies, a business of Cassava Technologies has officially announced the appointment of Michael Mukasa as the new Chief Executive Officer of Liquid Intelligent Technologies Uganda — the office he assumed on October 16th, 2023.

With a distinguished career spanning over 15 years in the telecommunications sector across Africa and the United States, Mukasa brings a wealth of experience and expertise to Liquid Uganda’s operations.  

“Mukasa’s extensive industry experience, financial acumen, and ability to build and nurture valuable relationships make him a strong asset to the Liquid Uganda team,” Adil El Youssefi, Liquid Intelligent Technologies CEO, Rest of Africa said in a press statement. “We are confident that his leadership will bring innovation and growth to Liquid Uganda, benefiting both customers and the Ugandan telecommunications industry as a whole.”

In his remarks, Mukasa said leading the Liquid Intelligent Technologies Uganda team is a privilege, especially as the country is at a critical juncture in Uganda’s digital transformation journey.

“The country’s ICT sector has witnessed remarkable investments by the government over the last two decades, including the recent announcement of the country’s first-ever digital transformation roadmap, propelling Uganda towards a digitally-led economy,” remarked Mukasa.

He added, “I look forward to collaborating with our dedicated team and valued partners as we contribute to reshaping the future of technology, driving innovation, and fostering connectivity, thereby creating a digitally connected future that leaves no Ugandan behind.”

Before joining Liquid Uganda, Michael served as the Chief Commercial Officer at Uganda’s Roke Telkom, where he helped in developing and expanding the company’s existing business operations.

His wide-ranging experience spans technical, commercial, and operational disciplines, having held senior leadership positions in all three areas for prominent international businesses in the U.S., Rwanda, and Uganda. 

Michael has a proven track record in cultivating strong stakeholder relationships and skillfully managing contract negotiations within the telecommunications industry.
