Tecno Mobile Uganda Officially Launches the Phantom 8 to the Ugandan Market
We earlier reported that the newest flagship in the Phantom series; the Phantom 8 – was
first launched at its global launch event in Dubai at the Jumeirah Beach Hotel being the
newest and latest phablet in all the Tecno mobile smartphones.
Today, Tecno the premier mobile phone brand under the Transsion Holdings officially
unveilled the Phantom 8 in the Ugandan market. The launch happened at The Sqaure
a.k.a City Sqaure, Kampala which was guest by some of Uganda’s great musical icons,
the media, Tecno dealers, Tecno handset holders (lovers), and the Ugandan people
at large.
Not only was the firm launching the phablet, but also took the chance to reward some of
its lucky customers that have been participating in its one week long #Phantom8Presale
with home appliances like Flat screen TVs, percolators, blenders, to mention a few.
Those awarded had completed the full payment for the Phantom 8 after initially
depositing a minimum of 500,000 UGX (roughly USD$) at selected dealer shops that had
been choosen for the pre-sale.
The 7 inches full HD display phablet spots a diamond style design that comes with a 3D Lighting, unibody metal edge, a 2.5 D Drip Screen-curved battery cover, 6GB of RAM, 64GB of internal storage that is expandable up to 2TB, 2.6 GHz CPU ultra-fast experience that supports 4G+ at a downloadable speed up to 300Mbps. The Phantom 8 also packs 20MP front camera (one of a kind) alongside a smart dual selfie flash that is cable of taking photos in a low ligth environment, 12/13MP dual AF rear cameras, Android 7.0 Nougat with HiOS 3.0, 3500 mAh battery with 150 minutes of talk time with only 10 minutes of battery charge.
The phablet has been priced at 1,220,000 UGX being a fair price from it compared to its specs.
