iPhone 7 Tips and Tricks

So you’ve got the new iPhone 7 and are excited to see all of the new offerings that it has. Come to find out, there doesn’t seem to be much of a difference from its previous version. No need to lose yourself in browsing the web searching for a pick me up, instead take a look at these tips and tricks for your new iPhone 7 and fall in love with it all over again.

1.) Home Button. You may have noticed that your home button is no longer a button. The new sensor disk works as a touchscreen – similar to the Apple Watch – and can be customized to your liking. Simple go to your settings > general > home button and select the artificial click option that you like best.

2.) New Camera Button. On previous versions of the iPhone, the lockscreen has included a camera button so you could quickly open your camera without unlocking your phone. You may have noticed that on the new iPhone 7, this button has disappeared. No need to throw your new phone against the wall, you can still access your camera without unlocking your screen. All you have to do is swipe left and the camera opens. This might be even better than the lockscreen button.

3.) Forced Restart. Sometimes you’re browsing the web and researching the perfect website builder when your phone stops working – you need to force a restart. When you try to do this the old way on the new iPhone 7, you may notice that it opens your home page. Instead of hitting the power and home button you will now want to hold the power and the volume down button at the same time to force a restart.

4.) Earphone Jack Accessory. One thing that came with mixed reviews for the iPhone 7 was the lack of a headphone jack. Not everyone wants to shell out $159 for the new Apple Airpods when they have perfectly good headphones at home. Well, the good news is you don’t have to. The new iPhone 7 comes with an adapter that allows you to plug 3.5mm headphone cords into your phone using the lighting connector. An added bonus, the iPhone 7 also comes with headphones that can be connected using the lightning connector.

5.) New Touch Features. The new iOS 10 has come with a lot of new features that can not only be used on the iPhone 7, but also on the 6 and 6s. Some selected features include quick access for a new message by holding the message icon or instagram app icon, hard pressing notifications on locked screen to see additional options and of course the ever-popular touch id. You can also save your touch id on many apps so that you do not have to enter your password each time.

The new iPhone 7 and 7 Plus may not look much different than the 6/6s/Plus, but with the new iOS 10, there are a lot of new features that bring the phone to the next level. An added bonus: if you decided to go with the iPhone 7 Plus, then you have got yourself an amazing wide-lens camera. It will help you get a clear shot each time.
