HiPipo on December 11th successful held its 2020 Digital Impact Awards Africa (DIAA) at Mestil Hotel, Kampala recognizing, celebrating and appreciating different individuals and organizations that spearhead the use of digital mediums to better serve their communities. The award gala attracted C-Level Executives and Senior Digital, Finance and IT executives. It’s a platform as well that promotes digital inclusion, financial inclusion, and cyber security.

Prior the award ceremony, DIAA kicked-off in October 19th marking the start of a comprehensive entry submission and validation process that run till November 2nd where the nominees were released for public voting. At the gala, the awards were a culmination of the Digital and Financial Inclusion Summit happening on the same day. This summit themed “Collaboration To Advance Safety and Security Towards Sustainable Financial Inclusion” will explore the strategic trends and technologies that are shaping the future of Digital, IT and business.
The awards had 36 categories; 17 that recognized best performing digital and financial players from across Africa and 19 categories purely focused on Uganda.
The Digital and Financial Inclusion summit, featuring the Digital Impact Awards Africa was presented by HiPipo, in partnership with Modusbox, Level One Project, Mojaloop Foundation and United Nations Capital Development Fund (UNCDF).
