Infinix HOT 10 Play Launched in Uganda: Specs, Price and Availability

The Infinix HOT 10 Play features an impressive Power Marathon Technology which is able to give users up to 19 hours of usage on a 5% battery life.

Infinix Mobility has today officially launched and made available the Infinix HOT 10 Play in Uganda, as it succeeds the HOT 9 Play that was in April of 2020. The HOT10 Play becomes the latest model in the company’s HOT series —and according to the company, is tailored for ‘young people who demand high quality video and gameplay on a cinematic display, without sacrificing battery performance’.

One of the phone’s key selling points is the battery, which Infinix says it [HOT10 Play] features an impressive Power Marathon Technology on its non-removable 6000mAh battery. Its predecessor the HOT9 Play had the same battery capacity but without the power marathon feature tech.

Infinix Uganda PR; Ms. Isabel Ainembabazi said, “The HOT 10 Play will give a user the freedom to explore their phone without worrying about recharging.”

The company says the handset upon testing was able to boast impressive feats including 55.7 days on standby mode or 53.4 hours of call time. The phone at 5% of battery life with Ultra Power Mode activated, allows for an additional 19 hours of battery life. Said to support 13.8 hours of continuous gameplay or 155 hours entertainment.

Under the hood, the Infinix HOT 10 Play comes with a 6.82-Inch dot-drop display with a screen aspect ratio of 20.5:9 which will give users a good entertainment and gaming experience. The slim displays allows for comfortable single-hand operation, ensuring you the ease of use.

The phone is powered by a Helio G25 chipset coupled with an Octa-core processor, 2GB RAM and 32GB of internal storage which is expandable with a microSD card of up to 128GB. It will run on Android 9.0 Pie (Go edition) topped with the company’s XOS 7.0 interface.

The XOS 7.0 interface according to the company is inspired by the green aurora of Iceland —a revolutionary visual interface with smarter interaction. Its image compressor generates more phone storage and the convenient split screen mode allows you to reply to instant messages from your friends while watching a video on your phone.

Featuring the awe-inspiring Helio Octa-core chip, HOT10 Play has the potential to redefine the entertainment experience of smartphones. This technology facilitates satisfyingly smooth video play and an immersive gaming experience. The handset uses Hyper Engine technology which allows for the intelligent switch between LTE and WI-FI, reducing game lag effectively and making your online phone experience smarter and more seamless than ever.

The HOT 10 Play for its imaging and video, it comes with an 8MP AI Front Camera and a 13MP AI Dual Rear Camera —which will both supported by LED-light for low light setting. Both cameras are able to capture videos in 1080p on a 30 frames per second (fps).

The phones cameras also feature a powerful AI portrait blurring function which enhances the focus of every picture. The feature creates the most natural and beautiful portrait shots, no matter if it’s the front angle or side angle of a subject – helping you to turn your pictures into masterpieces.

On addition to the fingerprint sensor, the handset has the FaceID that can be used to unlock the phone.

The phone comes in two storage variants, 32GB/2GB and 64GB/4GB, priced at UGX480,000 and UGX550,000 respectively. They will be available in four colors options including; Aegean Blue, Morandi Green, Obsidian Black, and Purple.
