After elevating the browsing experience for Android and desktop users via features like two-level tab stacks, horizontally scrollable tabs, and a reading list, Vivaldi is all set to provide the driver and passengers with a totally new in-car-connected browsing experience. Vivaldi has developed the first browser for Android Automotive OS by partnering with Renault which is now available in Renault’s next-generation cars, Megane E-Tech Electric and All-New Austral equipped with OpenR Link system.

Vivaldi and Renault

Vivaldi is the first browser created for Android Automotive OS that Renault car owners can use to enjoy an excellent browsing experience behind the wheels. Just like its Android and desktop version, people can use it to browse, watch and shop online right from the comfort of the driver’s seat. It eliminates the need of picking a tablet or smartphone. For the safety of driver and passenger, the browser is set to be used in a parked car.

Vivaldi and Renault shook hands with each other because their goals for creating innovative connected-cars experiences are the same. The partnership between both companies is aimed at enhancing the experience of people driving Renault’s next-generation cars prepared with the OpenR Link system.

The OpenR Link is an infotainment system created by Renault and available in their next-generation Megane E-Tech Electric and All-New Austral cars. The system enables drivers to access important web applications and other services that improve the overall driving experience. And Vivaldi is now a part of this system to provide drivers with a better in-car experience.

Vivaldi comes with a unique and classy appearance and interfaces focused on flexibility and ease of use. It has everything internet users need like enhanced privacy, ad blocker, anti-tracking feature, notes taking panel, and encrypted data sync. Vivaldi is a privacy-focused browser and assures users can browse the web privately in their cars with the OpenR Link system. A Vivaldi account may sync data between devices but the date is not stored nor shared with the system or Renault.

Most of us work online throughout the day using a browser. But driving keeps them from working as they are unable to use a full-featured browser in the car until they pick up a smartphone. Vivaldi’s new browser for Renault cars with OpenR Link will enable drives to continue work right from the comfort of the driver’s seat. There will be no need to sign in to online accounts individually because the browser syncs the data of different mobile devices when logged in with the Vivaldi account. This helps them start right from where they left off.

What to Expect?

They can turn their car into a productive home for work using Vivaldi’s extensive features and functionality. Not only this but charging stops or waiting time can also be more productive and entertaining than ever before.

Vivaldi allows Renault car drivers to make video calls and start video conferences to stay connected with their peers or partners wherever they are. The data sync feature makes it easier for them to get their browsing data right in their cars quickly using Vivaldi account logged in on other devices. They can also deal with multiple tabs open using the browser’s two rows of tabs to increase productivity. Bookmarks and speed dials are also available on the new tab page to make browsing easier and more effective. When it comes to note-taking, the browser has covered you as well. You can write and sync notes on this browser to keep your ideas and inspirations with you wherever you go.

Along with amazing productivity features, Vivaldi offers a complete home of entertainment for you Renault drivers. People can browse the web and stream their favorites on the browser without using a smartphone. From Netflix and YouTube to Spotify and SoundCloud, all audio and video platforms can be accessed conveniently. Due to safety concerns, the video cannot be played while driving but the system will keep playing audio. If it is a charging station or you need to wait for someone in parking, you can turn your waiting hours into fun and entertainment with Vivaldi’s built-in games. Not only this, but you can also give the browser a personalized appearance using your favorite color for its user interface from the setting panel.
