Kigali To Host The 3rd Annual Africa Tech Summit, 35 Speakers Confirmed

Kigali, Rwanda will from Feb. 13th to Feb. 15th host its annual Africa Tech Summit—that will see industry leaders, stakeholders exploring the opportunities and challenges within the ecosystem, while showcasing investment opportunities.

The event supported by the Ministry of ICT, Rwanda in partnership with Disrupt Africa will focus on encouraging collaboration, with the aim of furthering the development of Africa’s vibrant entrepreneurship and innovation ecosystem while connecting investors, corporates and startups.

Entrepreneurs, investors, tech & incubation hubs, policymakers, among others looking for ways to understand/maximize their presence in innovation and startup space—are called to attend the 3-day summit.

In a new twist to this year’s Africa Tech Summit, organizes have opened applications to startups from around the continent to Pitch Live at the event. 10 promising startups will be given the chance to take to the stage before an audience of over 400+ investors, corporate partners, accelerators and media to pitch their product.

Already existing and working startups have been given a dedicated startup expo packages with space and delegate passes, to showcase relevant products and services to delegates in the expo hall. In a chance, they might receive funding and business support.

The organizes on the other hand have so far confirmed about 35 industry leaders to speak at the event—exploring the latest trends in African tech sphere. The confirmed speakers are from; Safaricom, Econet Media Group, SAP, Uber, Gearbox, Kenyan Blockchain & AI Taskforce, CcHUB, AHL Ventures, Microtraction, iHUB, Imisi 3D, Gebeya, Kobo360, and Ventures.
