Huawei Sending Invites For its ‘Honor 9 Lite’ Launch

Shenzhen-based smartphone markers, Huawei Technologies Co. Ltd, is planning yet another launch before 2017 is wrapped up, a scheduled flagship launch for December 21st as it has been seen sending out invites for the launch a week after unveiling their Honor View 10 phablet in London.

As per the listing, the Huawei Honor 9 Lite will come in two variants with 5.65-inch full HD display with 18:9 aspect ratio and 1080×2160 pixel resolution. One of the variants is said to spot a 3GB RAM and 32GB internal storage while the other will pack a 4GB RAM and 64GB internal storage and an expandable microSD card slot of upto 128GB.

The device will be powered by the company’s own octa-core Kirin 659 chipset, which is also present in the recently launched Honor 7X smartphone of the company, sport a dual rear camera setup; 13MP and 2MP with dual LED flash and 8MP for the front facing camera, and also will run on Google’s newest mobile operating system; the Android 8.0 Oreo topped with EMUI OS layer of the company and finally backed by a 2,900mAH battery.

In terms of connectivity, the device will offer 4G, VoLTE, 3G, Wi-FI, USB Type-C, Bluetooth and GPS.

According to reports by Android Authority, the successor of the Honor 8 Lite could be priced around USD$200 (approx. 718,500 UGX), putting it in Honor 7X territory.
