HBO recently confirmed that it suffered a cyber attack, and it appears that a significant amount of data was compromised in the security breach. The hack was first reported by Entertainment Weekly.
In a statement, the network said: “HBO recently experienced a cyber incident, which resulted in the compromise of proprietary information. We immediately began investigating the incident and are working with law enforcement and outside cybersecurity firms. Data protection is a top priority at HBO, and we take seriously our responsibility to protect the data we hold.”
The leak includes a confidential outline for the fourth episode of the current Game of Thrones season, and episodes of Ballers, Barry, Insecure, and Room 104 are among the loot. The Game of Thrones leak doesn’t include the full episode, but there are plenty of spoilers.
