ThoughtWorks Kampala And Airtel Uganda Bring You The 2nd Edition Of Girl Geek Dinner

The second edition of Girl Geek Dinner, Kampala chapter will take place on Friday, 1st August, 2014 at Fairway Hotel starting at 5:00 PM.

Girl Geek Dinner is a global event that promotes women in the Information Technology sector. It will bring together women technology practitioners, to share and learn from each. This Girl Geek Dinner will create an inclusive forum where women technologists can interact, encourage and learn from each other.

This edition of Girl Geek Dinner will include several key note addresses and a panel discussion. Ann Mwangi, an Application Developer at ThoughtWorks Uganda Ltd will talk about how she manages to balance her work as a developer and her responsibility as a mother. Emily Namugaanyi, an Application Developer at ThoughtWorks Uganda Ltd will explain some of the things one should not do while one codes. In addition to this, there will be a panel discussion about how the ladies in Information Technology have managed to make it in this field.
