Tech giant Mozilla, this week announced that it has acquired Pocket, in a deal whose terms have not been revealed.
Pocket is the team behind the app which enables you save articles and other content on websites.
With the acquisition, the Pocket code will become a part of the Mozilla open-source project, and Pocket will join Mozilla’s product portfolio as a new product line alongside the Firefox web browsers with a focus on promoting the discovery and accessibility of high quality web content.
Currently, Pocket has 10 million monthly active users, and has been broadening its capabilities by providing social recommendations.
The team revealed that they will be staying in their office, and the team isn’t changing at all.
