Leading startup accelerator, GrowthAfrica has opened applications for startup entrepreneurs in the East African countries of Kenya and Uganda to its 2017 accelerator program.
GrowthAfrica is a business runway to success for local entrepreneurs seeking a platform
for their business take-off and for international companies in need of a market
landing space and growth hub.
It focuses mainly on growing successful enterprises in Africa through business acceleration, strategic advice and access to investments.
The 2017 accelerator programme seeks to enroll ambitious, committed and innovative entrepreneurs with the aim of building them into formidable entrepreneurs, scaling their startups and making them investment ready.
The programme comprises a 5-day boot camp, and six 3-day workshops where the participants will be equipped with tools to diagnose their businesses and devise strategies to optimize them.
Each workshop, which will be held from Wednesday to Friday every 4 weeks, will be followed by one-on-one sessions with mentors, growth catalysts and financial modelers to help entrepreneurs implement new strategies and innovations for their businesses.
Since inception, GrowthAfrica has worked with over 1,800 local and international businesses, helped them raise USD42 million and create over 24,000 jobs.
This year, only 24 startups (12 from each country) will be selected to take part in the 6 months programme, which will commence in June 2017.
The programme is open to startups in the sectors of Agribusiness; Education; IT/mobile solutions; Fintech, Renewable energy; Construction and affordable housing; Water & sanitation; Health; and Manufacturing/processing.
Uganda startups should apply here while Kenyan startups should apply here. Deadline for applications has been set to March 12th, 2017.
