The Most Anticipated Smartphones of 2017

Last year saw the launch of some real good smartphones. From Apple’s first dual-rear camera smartphone to Google’s first-ever made-by smartphones to Huawei’s Leica dual Cameras; Huawei P9, Huawei Mate 9, to name a few. As we enter into a new year, 2017, leaks and rumors suggest some big launches for this year too. The year promises to bring smartphones with some expect cutting-edge features in terms of design and specifications.

Here’s a look at 2017 anticipated smartphones:

Apple iPhone 8
It was in in January 2007 that Apple Co-founder Steve Jobs introduced the world to it’s first generation long-anticipated iPhone. The companies iPhone will be turning 10 year this month and since it’s tenth anniversary, we expect the biggest ever updates as the company promises.

Rumors suggest that the all glass iPhone 8 will launch with a curved OLED display, also suggesting that it might come in three variants; 5.8-inch, 4.7-inch and 5.5-inch. The 5.8-inch model is said to come with OLED display, while the 4.7-inch and 5.5-inch models are said to sport LCD screens.

Samsung Galaxy S8
Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy S8 smartphone has been in rumors for months now. Speculations suggest that smartphone will come in two variants based on screen size and resolution. While one variant is said to feature 5.1-inch QHD resolution display, the other may come with 5.5-inch 4K resolution Super Amoled display. Both are expected to run Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 830 processor in few markets, and the Exynos 8895 CPU in others.

Some reports claim that the smartphone will also come packed with either an ‘ultra battery-saving mode’ or a feature offering maximum power for best performance, dubbing it the “Beast Mode.” Samsung has reportedly filed a trademark for this ‘Beast Mode’ with EU.

Let’s also expect to see the Samsung Galaxy Note 8, though the phablet line-up isn’t a straightforward one (We would have included it in this list).

Google Pixel 2
We wouldn’t forget to mention Google’s first-ever ‘made’ smartphones launched in September 2016; Google Pixel smartphones. The smartphones manufactured by HTC replaced the company’s Nexus series of phones and sport Google logo at the back.

Though months away from launch, Google Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL should be expected this year and rumors claim that the smartphones will boast of some cutting-edge features, and likely to run on Snapdragon 835 processor.

HTC 11
HTC 10 was one of the best Android smartphones in 2016, I might assure you this. A clutter-free powerhouse that excelled at the fundamentals, it demonstrated a true return to form for the Taiwanese manufacturer.

All of that means that we’re seriously keen to see its next effort. From a tricky financial situation not so long ago, HTC appears to have rebounded – but a solid smartphone in the 11 will be pivotal to that run continuing.

We might expect from the HTC 11 is the storage capacity of 256GB, paired with 8GB of RAM and a 5.5-inch screen running on a Snapdragon 835 chip.

Will keep you updated on this..!!!
