Liquid Telecom has inked a partnership deal with GlobalReach Technology to help African businesses deploy and manage Wi-Fi for their customers.
Liquid Telecom’s managed Wi-Fi services are available to businesses that want enterprise-grade Wi-Fi without the worries of procuring and managing a wireless LAN service.
The Pan-African operator will provide the connectivity for the service, which uses hardware from Ruckus Wireless and GlobalReach’s cloud-based platform. This offers authentication, authorization and accounting, along with customisable captive portals, allowing deployment in a rage of locations without a large installation cost.
The service also offers comprehensive analytics on user demographics and engagement, enabling businesses to better understand their customers and tailor service to customer needs and behaviors.

The service will initially launch in eight countries across Africa for a fixed monthly fee. The operator will also integrate its existing managed Wi-Fi customer base, along with its own portfolio of public Wi-Fi networks, into the platform over the coming months.
