In an announcement made by Google’s VP of Engineering; Dave Burke in a post on Android Developer’s blog on Monday, the company released a sneak peek to it’s Android 7.1.2 Nougat update, rolling out a public beta to eligible devices that are enrolled in the Android Beta Program.
Eligible devices for the beta program include Pixel and Pixel XL, Nexus 5X, Nexus Player, and Pixel C devices, while Nexus 6P users have to wait.
“Android 7.1.2 is an incremental maintenance release focused on refinements, so it includes a number of bugfixes and optimizations, along with a small number of enhancements for carriers and users, Dave writes.”
Those that would love to try out the public beta of Android 7.1.2 can do so by just enrolling for the Android Beta Programme.
If you have an eligible device will get the public beta update in the next few days while those that aren’t enrolled, should visit the android.com/beta website and opt-in eligibility for their Android devices, and will soon receive the public beta update over-the-air.
