Amazon wants to take on Spotify with it’s new Music Unlimited service

Amazon, the eCommerce and cloud computing company has launched a standalone, ad-free, on-demand streaming music service to compete with Spotfiy and Apple Music.

They have launched with a large catalog and a range of plans at different price points.

With Amazon Music Unlimited, the standard individual plan costs $9.99 a month; it’s discounted to $7.99 a month or $79 a year for Prime members.

A family plan is going to become available later this year, and will grant up to six people access to the service for $14.99 a month or $149 a year.

Amazon Music Unlimited will also offer recommendations, algorithmic and hand-made playlists and the ability to search for songs by lyrics.

Let’s wait and see if they will be able to bring about a bubble in the streaming business.

Their main rivals Spotify offers numerous innovative features for finding tunes, while Apple Music is already available internationally.
