MTN Business Uganda today hosted the Chinese community to a breakfast event at Kampala Serena hotel. This breakfast event is just one of the series of engagements that have been hosted by MTN for the Chinese Community.
Attended by over 200 delegates including H.E Zhao Yhali the ambassador of china to Uganda, the event presented an exciting opportunity for various businesses to interact and discuss possible opportunities for the future.
MTN Uganda’s CEO Brian Gouldie hailed the strategic partnership between MTN and Chinese firms that has led to development and advancement of technology and new propositions for businesses in Uganda.
“MTN Uganda is very proud of the relationship that has been cultivated over the years and we’re pleased to share breakfast today as we look back and revel in the successes we have achieved together,” he added.
“We are always looking for partnership opportunities with manufacturer and I would like to particularly thank Huawei for being a good business partner for many years. We in addition look forward to being your provider of choice in the near future,” the CEO concluded
The Chinese ambassador to Uganda His Excellency, Zhao Yhali thanked MTN Uganda for working with the Chinese community in Uganda. He said that China is ready to work with Uganda and Africa at large for the implementation of the cooperation plans.

Herman Kasekende CEO of Standard Chartered Uganda while giving his remarks at the breakfast said” Standard Chartered is proud of the history we have in Africa and China as facilitators of different Chinese businesses. We are here for good, here for Uganda and here for Africa.
A raffle draw was conducted to conclude the breakfast which was only exclusive to the Chinese community. Four people emerged as winners and the overall winner walked away with a Huawei P8.
