MultiChoice Makes Changes on its Pearl Magic Prime’s Prestige and Sanyu Productions
Sally Elizabeth Bwamimpeke will join the drama series Prestige while Catherine Namugenyi takes on the leading role in Sanyu, effective June 28th, 2021.
MultiChoice Uganda, has today announced changes in the lead characters on its riveting TV productions Prestige and Sanyu.
Sally Elizabeth Bwamimpeke will join the drama series Prestige effective June 28th, 2021 while on the other hand Catherine Namugenyi will take on the leading role of Sanyu replacing Tracy Kababiito after failure to come to an agreement in her renewal of contracts with Nabwiso Films.
“We’re excited to give more actors and young talent an opportunity through the appointment of Catherine Namugenyi will replace Tracy Kababiito for the leading role of Sanyu after failure for Kababiito to come to an agreement in her renewal of contracts with Nabwiso Films,” MultiChoice Uganda wrote in a statement.
Ava Juliet Productions and Nana Kagga who plays Jasmine on Prestige worked towards agreeing to the terms of the renewal of contracts but were unable to reach an amicable conclusion that deemed favorable for both parties.
“It is with regret to announce that they were unable to reach an arrangement that deemed favorable for both parties. Pearl Magic Prime remains committed to bringing the best in local programming to viewers and maintaining a great content offering,” said MultiChoice Uganda.
Sanyu and Prestige which launched in February this year, air exclusively on Pearl Magic Prime every Monday to Friday at 8:00 pm and 8:30 pm respectively.
