Event: International Conference on Technology and Management Comes to Kampala

The first International Conference on Technology and Management (ICTM) is to be held at Silver Springs Hotel Kampala Uganda from 1st – 3rd August 2016.

It will hosted by Uganda Technology and Management University (UTAMU) in collaboration with the Centre for Public Management and Governance in the Faculty of Management at the University of Johannesburg, South Africa.

It is no doubt that technology drives both the public and private enterprises and organizations therefore this conference will focus on how Management needs to design systems and processes to enable ICTs unleash their creative potential embodied in the strategic resources of organizations plus the people who drive the agenda for service delivery.

Under the theme “Improving service delivery through ICT governance and Management revitalization“, the event will provide a platform where authors, practitioners, researchers, academicians from the technology and management disciplines can discuss future development in terms of service provision.

The ICTM conference will center on two sub themes and each theme will address key topics;

  1. Management, Leadership & Governance
  • State, society, politics and Governments in Development.
  • Public policy design and implementation challenges.
  • Democracy, human rights and political governance.
  • Sustainable development Goals (SDGs).
  • Evaluation capacity development.
  1. ICT Governance
  • Role of ICT in development.
  • E-governance.
  • E-services (e-business, e-agriculture).
  • Mobile Computing.

The three day event will have sets on interrelated activities such as pre-conference activities which include PhD colloquium, doctoral and masters supervision and journal article publication seminar for young scholars with top notch keynote speakers like; Prof Sol Henk; University of Groningen, Netherlands, Prof Opuda Asibo; National Council for Higher Education, Uganda and Prof Christelle Auriacombe; Centre for Public Governance, University of Johannesburg, South Africa.

An early registration fee of USD 300 (about 999,300 UGX) will be charged to an author and USD 150 (about 499,650 UGX) to a non-author.

Please note that early registration ends 10th June and late registration ends 10th July.
