Google Maps error leads to workers demolishing the wrong house

Before you decide to fully trust Google Maps, think twice let you end up like the demolition firm which took down the wrong house!

A demolition firm in the city of Rowlett, Texas, destroyed the wrong house they allegedly decided to blame Google Maps for the error.

Billy L. Nabors Demolition say an employee reportedly sent the shocked homeowner a screenshot showing Google Maps pointing to the wrong property.

The workers had the correct door number, but it turns out they were unfortunately on the wrong street.

A spokesperson for Google confirmed that it had looked into the issue.

“Google Maps did indeed show incorrect information for the houses in question. The issue was fixed as soon as it was brought to our attention,” they said.
