Orange partners with global laptop vendor to enhance data usage

asus image Integrated telecommunications service provider Orange has partnered with global notebook vendor, ASUS, to offer its customers additional convenience with the launch of three of the vendor’s Notebook models into the Kenyan market. The laptops, from the VivoBook range, will be available at select Orange shops in Nairobi, Mombasa and Kisumu. They will be sold as standalone units, or bundled with either a 3G or a CDMA modem.

The laptop devices that come with a host of innovative and convenient features: large memory and storage capacity, HD graphics and the latest Windows Operating System, Windows 8, have a one year international warranty and will retail between KSh 42,999 and KSh 56,999.

Company CEO, Mickael Ghossein says that the partnership with ASUS is in line with the firm’s data strategy.

“These new devices will broaden our device portfolio and position Orange as a one stop shop for premium devices. The bundled offer that allows a customer to also purchase a modem will push our Internet penetration agenda,” says Ghossein.

Customers that purchase the bundled offer (laptop plus modem) will also get to enjoy the benefits of the data bonus promotion from Orange that comes to a close on September 30, 2013. Orange customers purchasing Internet Everywhere (IEW) data bundles for their modems will also benefit with a 100 percent bonus for the purchase of data bundles ranging from 50MB to 5GB.
