VLC media player is set to launch on the Apple TV.
This means the media player will be joining Plex, which is also a media app on the new Apple TV.
The communication was revealed by Videolan’s Jean-Baptiste Kempf.
Adding VLC media player brings more choices for formats and sources than you get out of the box.
This also means you no longer have to rely primarily on streaming services.
