LG’s new Urbane LTE watch lets you make calls without a phone

LG has released its LTE variant of its fashionable Watch “Urbane LTE” that supports calls over VoLTE without a phone, as well as NFC payments.

The watch features a proprietary OS that the company says is not webOS.

It comes with a walkie-talkie feature for group voice chats, an SOS button to quickly place a call to your contacts in case of an emergency and features a sport sensors for GPS and fitness tracking, as well as atmospheric pressure and heart rate monitoring.

With a  700mAh battery  which is significantly larger than the original Watch Urbane’s 410mAh battery, meaning longer power hours.

The device will be shown off next week at the Mobile World Congress.
