The new warranty will apply over 15 African countries and comes with a few limitations.
The extended warranty covers only two accidental damages, no matter if you’ve destroyed the screen or the board. After that, you’ll have to pay for the service.
The accidental damage warranty is available at no additional cost in South Africa, Nigeria, Kenya, Ghana, Senegal, Sudan, Tanzania, Ethiopia, Namibia, Zambia, Mauritius, Uganda, Cote d’Ivorie, Angola, Botswana, and Mozambique. To get this warranty in one of these countries you just need to register your device with the e-warranty service on your local Samsung official website.
According to GSM Arena, Samsungs’s VP and COO of Samsung Electronics Africa, George Ferreira, reportedly said this new warranty would be extended on more devices in the next couple of months.
UPDATE:
Samsung’s Uganda Country Manager, Amit Patel informs us that ADH will apply to each customer only twice.
“One can only utilize ADH warantly once for broken screen and once for liquids damage. However, we expect this to be confirmed in the coming days,” said Patel, speaking to PC Tech by telephone.
