Kampala, get ready! g|Uganda returns to Kampala in September

This September,  g|Uganda is coming back to Kampala, and we’re mixing things up in a big way, from hosting our guests at a truly original venue (an amusement park!) to two full days of fresh content for our business and developer audiences.  On Day 1, small business owners, entrepreneurs, marketers, publishers, and journalists will hear from Google experts from East Africa and across the world about how to get online, grow their businesses, and hone a digital strategy using Google tools. Specifically, we’ll have a special focus on answering key

questions for small business owners in Uganda. For example; How does my business use tools like Google Trader to generate calls from potential customers? How does my business get found through Google search? How do I create a more sticky relationship with my customers using Google+?

On Day 2, we’ll dive deep into developer platforms including Android, HTML5, App Engine, Google+ APIs, and more. New for this year will be special sessions for women in technology and an advanced track for more experienced coders looking to take their skills to the next level. Connect in advance with local developers by joining up with the Kampala Google Developer Group.

Space is limited for this free event, so if you’re interested in attending please apply here today. If you’re reading this from other parts of Sub-Saharan Africa, stay tuned for exciting developments regarding  our programming in other cities. Cheers!
