Make Photoshop Much Faster With This Simple Setting Change

Go to Preferences > Performance and set Cache Levels to ’1′.

Then go to Preferences > File Handling and select ‘Never Save’ in the ‘Image Previews’ section.

This is all down to the app, in its default state, building previews of things like magnified versions of images when you open a new file. The result of stopping the process occurring? A faster Photoshop.
