The Tecno Camon 11 Pro is the latest handset flagship from Tecno Mobiles. It was announced is Sep. last year, and officially released in Nov. along side the Tecno Camon 11. Being the last smartphones to be launched in 2018, the two super-smartphones joined the popular CAMON series family.

Priced at a RRP of UGX578,000 and UGX899,000—for the Camon 11 and 11 Pro respectively, these two become the successor of the Camon X and X Pro that launched in 2017.

Tecno claims the Camon 11 handsets are created for customers who follow the latest technological trends and want to stand out. The new integrated AI technology enables customers to do more with their phones and have fun at the same time.

First Impressions of the Camon 11 Pro
From our expectations, the handset did manage to come with some specs and features we had predicted. These were our first impression, before our final review—in 2-weeks time.

  1. The Notch. In 2018, the notch was the trend and could still be the trend though it’s fading away slowly. Most handsets launched that year came with the feature, but many weren’t fans of it (me inclusive). The Camon 11 Pro comes with a notch, but this time around it’s more of software not hardware. Meaning, if a user doesn’t like it, s/he can hide it.
  2. The build and display is perfect and beautiful. The back of the Camon 11 Pro has a gradient color finish from purple to black. The build could be mistook for glass, but its a plastic all build.
  3. Cameras are great, integrated with AI technology. Tecno has always put its best to improve the camera performance and it pays off in the long run. In a test run, the shots we took were crisp, and clear. While the video records up-to 720p, it did come out well.
  4. The memory is impressive. 6GB RAM is fine enough for the Camon 11 Pro. In our quick review, we didn’t experience any hangs, the performance was smooth.[related-posts]

The handset is available in all Tecno outlets countrywide, and in authorized smartphone shop outlets as well. The Camon 11 Pro is priced at UGX899,000 RRP.
