Banking firm; Stanbic Bank Uganda, early last month, rolled out a campaign dubbed ‘DigiCashBack’ – that sees to reward 100 of its customers with UGX 100 million from daily draws, for making transactions through its digital channels. On Wednesday, the bank rewarded the first twenty (20) winners with UGX 1 million each.
According to the bank, the DigiCashBack campaign promotes digital solutions for customers with the aim of enhancing convenience and continued value to customer experience. Stanbic Bank Uganda’s Head of Digital; Veronica Sentongo, says there is an increased customer awareness of the bank’s digital platforms with 98% of new accounts being on-boarded through digital platforms.
Meanwhile, speaking at the handover ceremony of the 20 September winners, held at the Stanbic Bank Forest mall Branch in Kampala, Ms Rhona Kwesiga, Stanbic Bank’s Branch Control Manager congratulated the first batch of winners upon winning and encouraged others to continue transaction on the bank’s digital channels to stand a chance of winning the cash prizes.
“We rewarded our winners drawn from September 2018 and we shall continue to reward lucky customers with UGX 1 million each when they utilize our digital platforms to make transactions,” said Rhona.
The campaign which is now in its second month will run till December 2018 with the aim to encourage customers to utilize all the alternative digital platforms and increase the usage of stanbic bank’s digital banking offering as a preferred service to facilitate convenience.
The public is encouraged to continue transacting on the stanbic bank digital channels like Mobile Banking, Agent Banking and the Stanbic App.
Notably, stanbic bank has throughout this year increased its service offering on its digital channels to better achieve the objectives with this campaign. Customers can now open accounts online as well access more services on agent banking. This according to Sentongo will address the need to define and demonstrate the value of digital banking and drive high value transactions.
