The Huawei GR3 was announced in January this year, and comes with confusing names. It has been called the Huawei P9 Lite (2017), Huawei P8 Lite (2017), Huawei Honor 8 Lite, or the Huawei Nova Lite, but most times, it has gone by Huawei P8 Lite (2017); a new version of its P8 Lite smartphone that launched two years ago.

The Huawei P8 Lite (2017), on paper, is a slightly better version of the P9 Lite smartphone that launched last year. It comes with a 5.20-inch touchscreen display with a resolution of 1080 pixels by 1920 pixels powered by octa-core Kirin 655 processor supported with 3GB of RAM, 16GB of internal storage which is expandable up to 128GB via a microSD card, and runs Android 7.0 powered and backed by a non-removable 3000mAh battery.

In terms of connectivity; it supports Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, NFC, GPS, and FM. Sensors on the phone include Proximity sensor, Accelerometer and Ambient light sensor.

  1. Awesome display. The flagship has an IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen with 16M colors, makes all the icons and the fonts crystal clear. In other words, its so colorful.
  2. Portability.
  3. Cameras shoot perfect pictures and videos even though it doesn’t not support full HD.
  4. The plastic is mostly smooth, with just a slight ridged texture on the back that helps with the grip.
