Uganda to Host the 4th Annual African Summit on Entrepreneurship and Innovation in October

Uganda will on October 24th to 26th host the fourth annual African Summit on Entrepreneurship and Innovation (ASENTI); a forum that brings SMEs, startups and different stakeholders for an insensitive interaction and training on entrepreneurship and Innovation from across Africa.

The last three annual editions were held in Kenya, with the aim of encouraging entrepreneurs to interact with other stakeholders. In a change this time around, the 4th annual edition will not only be held in Uganda, but will also be held in South Africa from November 9th to 11th this year.

With the aim to encourage the exchange of ideas, discussion of trends, the summit will be held under the theme Rethinking innovation in Africa, set to bring together over 500 delegates that will comprise of entrepreneurs, innovators, business leaders, and financial institutions.

Entrepreneur, businessman and Founder & Chairman at Simba Group; Patrick Bitature has been chosen to be the Keynote speaker at the event.

Notably, ASENTI will also feature a startups competition, known as Pitch Africa, with selected startups to to pitch their businesses live to the audience for the chance to win a place on ASENTI’s acceleration initiative; Startup Campus Academy – a three month programme featuring mentoring and workshops run by experts from partner organisations.
