Breaking News: Gen. Muhoozi Keinerugaba Twitter Account Hacked

Senior Presidential Advisor in Charge of Special Operations, Maj. Gen. Muhoozi Keinerugaba is the latest victim of cyber bullying after unknown entities hacked his twitter account.

Muhoozi who is also President Museveni’s son has served as the commander of UPDF’s elite division, the Special Forces Command (SFC).

The attack on his twitter account (@mkeinerugaba) occurred on Tuesday night and strange tweets were released by yet to be identified persons.

The news about the hack was revealed by Spokesman of the UPDF Special Forces Command, Maj. Chris Magezi after the shocking tweets that had taken social media by storm.

“Friends, attempts were made early this evening to compromise de @mkainerugaba account. Appropriate measures have now been taken to secure it,” Maj. Magezi tweeted.

This is not the first time hackers have compromised high profile persons on the internet, with the previous witnessed hacks on the Ministry of Finance and Ministry of Education Websites.

The incident further exposes the loopholes in Uganda’s cyber security capacity, worrying many other organisations of possible attacks any time.[related-posts]
