Smile communications Uganda yesterday announced that it was introducing data bundle roll over as an option on its anytime, and Night and Weekend data bundles.
The announcement which was sent out through an email also notified the public that going forward, the data bundle validity period has been revised from 60 days to 30 days.
Effective 19th December 2016, all customers who top-up will get an opportunity to rollover their data bundle balance provided they top-up any other bundle within 30 days after the bundle expires.
However, Data bundle rollover will not apply to Unlimited, Daily and Gift bundles, and the rolled over bundle will be available for use for up to 30 days after the initial 30 day validity. Hence a bundle can only be used for a maximum of 60 days from purchase date.
The rolled over data bundle balance will be utilized first before the topped up bundle, and the respective terms and conditions of each data bundle will be maintained.
All data bundles purchased before 19th December 2016 will maintain the validity issued on purchase date.
