Apple Inc. early this week previewed iOS 10 at their World Wide Developers Conference (WWDC), as the biggest release ever of the world’s most advanced mobile operating system (OS), that features huge updates from expressing yourself in bold new ways in messages to reliving memories like never before in photos to beautifully redesigned maps to using the power of Siri in more apps than ever..and so forth.
There’s so much to say about the new iOS 10, however here are just a few of the favorite things you ought to have the new OS.
Add a personal touch: Send fireballs, heartbeats, sketches, and more. You can even draw over videos.
With the iMessage apps, you can easily access your favorite apps to create and share content, make payments, and more, minus leaving Messages.
In addition to messaging, you can also send a message in your own handwriting and who ever you have sent it to will see it animate, just as ink flows on paper, plus you can send a hidden message or photo, then simply swipe to reveal it.
Siri, a computer program that works as an intelligent personal assistant and knowledge navigator, now open to all apps works with your favored apps from the App Store, so you can ask it to book a ride, or send money to someone, and more.
The newly beautifully redesigned maps can now take reservations, book a table through apps like OpenTable, and a ride with Uber all within the map. In addition to the redesigned maps, you can make proactive suggestions for where you’re likely to go and the fastest way to get there. Plus you can search along your route and see what’s around the corner and easily find the closest places for gas, food, or coffee.
iOS 10 has a Home smart home, the new Home app lets you turn on lights, unlock doors, and even raise your window shades all at once if you like.
To the music lovers, iOS 10’s simple and intuitive redesigned music system, makes it even easier to enjoy your favorite songs. You can also view the lyrics while you’re listening to them.
Contextual predictions – typing is quicker and easier than ever. When you type something like “I’m available at,” the free time in your calendar pops up as an option.
This is one of my favorites, iOS 10 offers you multilingual typing, you can type in two languages at the same time without having to switch between keyboards.
