Apple expected to launch new iPhone and iPad on March 21

Apple Inc., last week on Thursday officially sent out invitations with an cryptic message: “Let us loop you in” for their Monday, March 21st media event that will take place at its headquarters in Cupertino, California, in less than two weeks and will kick off at 10am PDT (8pm EAT).

Numerous products are expected to be showcased during the event, including the new 9.7-inch iPad, the 4-inch iPhone SE featuring updated internal components, including support for Apple Pay, and the new Apple Watch bands.

It is rumored that the iPhone SE will look just nearly identical to the iPhone 5s, have an A9 chip, an improved camera, live photo support, touch ID and Near Field Communication (NFC) support for use with Apple Pay.

9to5mac reports the iPhone SE will be available in space gray, silver, gold, and rose gold. It’s not clear how soon the device will be available after the event.

According to MacRumors, The new 9.7-inch iPad has been referred to as the iPad Air 3, but recent rumors have suggested it may instead be branded as an iPad Pro. The device is said to include many iPad Pro features, like a four-speaker design, a Smart Connector for connecting accessories, and display improvements for Apple Pencil support. It may also be the first iPad to feature a rear LED flash.

The new Apple Watch bands are expected to come in new color variants and possibly made out of new materials or in partnership with additional high-fashion brands.

Apple Inc. will streaming the event live on its website and through the Apple TV.
