Skype is currently down worldwide for many users

Skype is currently down for many users across the globe today due to an issue with the status settings.

Users are reporting that they they are unable to log in, change their status or make and receive calls.

However, instant messages and Skype for Web are working fine and that the company says it is working hard to restore the rest of its service.
