The 10 most powerful supercomputers in the world, and where they are located

We are living in the computer age, which means the number and the size of supercomputers any country runs are of great importance to its national identity.

With three wins in a row, Tianhe-2, a supercomputer at China’s National University of Defence Technology in Guangzhou is the world’s most powerful system.

The computer clocks 33.86 petaflops.

Surprisingly, China actually only 61 supercomputers in the Top 500, while the US has a whopping 231.
