LG G Flex 2 Revealed And It Comes With A Ridiculously Bent Design

The LG G Flex was a curiously curved Android smartphone with a self-healing cover. LG has announced, the LG G Flex 2 is…a curiously curved Android smartphone with a self-healing cover.

So what’s different? The original G Flex – which really sounds like a gangster fitness routine – had a 6 inch screen. The LG G Flex 2 has slimmed down to a more pocket-friendly 5.5 inch screen but is higher resolution at 1080p.

LG says the screen on the G Flex 2 will be more durable too. It’s chemically treated Corning Gorilla Glass to apparently produce a 20 percent tougher panel. The self-healing coating on the rear of the phone remains but will apparently regenerate even faster than before.

Inside, the G Flex 2 is packing Qualcomm’s 64-bit Snapdragon 810 processor with 2GB of RAM and support for LTE Category 6. If you want speed, this phone should give it to you.

Our review of the original G Flex was hard on the disappointing camera but it looks like the G Flex 2 should perform better. The same 13MP laster auto-focus camera used for the LG G3 is inside the new phone.

The LG G Flex 2’s improved specs certainly look promising but we’re still not entirely sold on that curved form factor. There’s no firm word yet on when we can expect to see the bendy beast in the wild but we’ll keep you updated.
