google-chromebook-pixel-story-topLast Friday, Google  announced a holiday promotion by offering 1 Terabyte of Google Drive storage worth $240 along with the purchase of Chromebook.

The offer will be valid for two years is expected to boost sales during the holiday season.

If you are opting for a Chrome laptop, you  can take full advantage of the promotion as some laptops are priced lesser than the $240 value offered by Google.

With the free storage users can play, work and anything else during the holiday season. Chromebooks starting from $199 is being offered in online retailers like Amazon or Newegg, retail stores and on Google Play, stated Group Product Manager Alex Vogenthaler.

“That’s enough space to keep more than 100,000 awkward holiday sweater pics safe and shareable in Drive,” said Vogenthaler in a blog post.

Microsoft and Amazon are also offering free storage space. Microsoft Office 365 subscribers were offered an unlimited amount of storage, though the company did not announce when the unlimited storage will be available to users.

Amazon Prime subscribers will receive an unlimited cloud storage for Prime Photo service that is stored on the Amazon Cloud service. The photos can be uploaded via storage on iOS, Android, Windows and Fires OS.

Google is expected to announce more deals or offers on Chromebooks during the holiday season.
