Urine has turned out to be more powerful that we think. Scientists were able to successfully generate electricity from human urine, enough to partially power a cell phone.

They found that live bacteria breaking down urine creates electricity in the process. As an electrolyte, the natural pH within urine makes it a viable fuel. Researchers speculate that ‘smart toilets’ could make this experiment practical in just a few years.

At the very least, it’s the one charger that’s impossible to lose or forget when you leave the house.
